人間が罪を犯すとき,それは良心が存在しないという意味ではない. その良心はまだ光を見ていないだけである. 光は常にそこにある. だが,人間はその光の深さに耐える準備ができていない時がある. その瞬間,良心は閉ざされ, 魂は自らを守るために闇を作り出す. しかし,その闇の中でも光は止まらない.それは沈黙の中で, ゆっくりと,しかし執拗に人間の深淵へと染み込んでいく.これこそがソヨ存在倫理学の言う「光の貫通の過程」である.

人間が苦痛を感じるのは,この光が内なる闇を突き破って入ってくるからである. 光とは単なる明るさではない. それは真理の刃のように深く,ときに恐ろしく人間の内面を貫く. その貫通は痛みを伴う.人は泣き,悔い,自己を責める. だが,その痛みの瞬間にこそ,人間は初めて良心の光を見るのである. 真理は論理や教義の中には存在しない.真理とは,この苦痛の中での悟り,すなわち「生きる体験」として存在するのである.

英雄とは,真理を「生きた」者である.
