공허를 가르는 유일한 언어 – “있으라”

하나님은 침묵의 공허를 향해 말씀하셨다.

“빛이 있으라.”

This fear has been the most primal experience throughout human history. Yet this essay does not regard death as emptiness, annihilation, or the end. Instead, death is not a prison of existence but the very threshold through which humanity encounters eternity. Emptiness is not destruction but the womb of creation, and death is not despair but the beginning of everlasting life.

Thus, this writing speaks of the dignity of human existence. Humanity continues life and must eventually pass through death, but that passage is nothing less than the inevitable process through which existence transcends its own limits and encounters the eternal light. This is the very dignity of human existence, and the truth of life that cannot be extinguished, even through death itself.

Emptiness Is Not Non-Being, but the State of Pre-Language

People often misunderstand emptiness as simple nothingness. Yet, in the first chapter of Genesis, emptiness is not presented as mere lack, but as the state that precedes the Word of God's arrival. “The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. Here, emptiness already serves as the stage of creation. It is not the absence of all things but the possibility of existence that has not yet been spoken. The emptiness and longing that humans feel, along with the inexplicable thirst for meaning, are not mere psychological states, but the spiritual memory of waiting to be called into being again.

The Only Word That Pierces Emptiness – “Let There Be”

God addressed the silence of emptiness with a single word: “Let there be light. This declaration was the first sound of the universe. Philosophy and poetry have wrestled with language for thousands of years, but none can surpass this single utterance. For it is the Word before all words, the Meaning before all meaning. “Let there be” is not a mere command but the absolute Word that calls existence itself into being. It is God’s confession breaking through silence, the original declaration that opened existence itself.

Humanity Was Created Together with Emptiness

Humanity can never be separated from emptiness. No matter how much we attempt to fill it with knowledge, relationships, or achievements, emptiness always returns. The reason is that humans were originally created together with emptiness. Emptiness is not lack but the waiting place for God’s Word to resound again. The unease, loneliness, and yearning we experience are not mere emotions but the fundamental striving of created beings to return to their Source.

Only Those Who Endure Emptiness Encounter the Light

Those who flee from emptiness conceal it with speed and emotion. But in the end, the way to encounter the light lies in enduring emptiness. Only those who remain in silence without collapsing, who stand firm where language ceases, come to know: The light is not knowledge but the fullness of existence itself. Thus, Scripture calls such people “the people of God.” They shine not with persuasive speech but with the silence of one who has passed through emptiness.

Emptiness Is Not the End but the Embrace of God

Emptiness is not destruction but the womb of creation. Not despair, but the preparation for a new birth. Not abandonment but the silent pause in which God’s Word waits to resound again. Therefore, humanity is not to live as beasts howling in despair within emptiness, but as beings who wait for the promise of light hidden within it. “Let there be.” This declaration was not confined to the beginning of creation. Even now, it resounds within the depths of our being, calling forth existence anew.

The Language of Eternity Beyond Death and Emptiness

This essay does not regard death and emptiness, which humanity fears, as annihilation. Death is not the end of existence but the gateway to eternity, and emptiness is the womb of creation. Therefore, humanity should not fear death but wait within it for the language of light and eternity. The declaration “Let there be” is still being spoken to us today, opening a new existence for all who pass through death.

序文

本エッセイは宗教的な言葉と聖書のイメージを用いているが, 単なる信仰告白に留まらない. これは人間存在の根源を問う哲学的探究であり, 何よりも 死を抱えて生きる人間の実存 への証言である.

現代の世界は, 殺人・犯罪・暴力・戦争に満ちている.人間は死という影を避けられず,むしろ アバターのように自らの存在の中に死を抱いて生きている. この恐怖こそ,人類史を貫く最も原初的な体験である.

しかし本稿は死を単なる空虚,消滅, 終わりとしては捉えない.死は存在を閉じ込める牢獄ではなく, むしろ 人間が永遠に触れるための門 である.空虚は破壊ではなく創造の子宮であり, 死は絶望ではなく永遠の始まりである.

したがって, この文章は人間存在の尊厳を語る.人間は生を続け,やがて死を通らざるを得ない. しかしその死は,存在が自己の限界を超えて 永遠の光と出会うための必然的な過程 である. これこそ人間存在の尊厳であり, 死を経ても消えない生命の真理である.

空虚は無ではなく「前言語」の状態である

人々はしばしば空虚を単なる無と誤解する. しかし創世記の第一章では, 空虚は欠如ではなく,神の言葉がまだ届いていない状態として描かれる.

「地は混沌で, 空しく, 闇が淵のおもてにあった.」

ここでの空虚はすでに創造の舞台である.それはすべてが欠けている状態ではなく, まだ語られていない存在の可能性である. 人間が感じる虚しさ, 孤独, 説明できない渇きは単なる心理現象ではなく, 再び呼び出されるのを待つ霊的な記憶である.

空虚を切り裂く唯一の言葉 - 「在れ」

神は沈黙の空虚に向かってひと言を放たれた。

「光あれ。」

この宣言は宇宙最初の響きであった. 哲学も詩も何千年も言語に取り組んできたが, このひと言を超えるものはない. なぜならそれは すべての言葉の前の言葉, すべての意味の前の意味 だからである.

人間は空虚から逃れることはできない. 知識, 人間関係,業績で満たそうとしても, 虚しさは戻ってくる.

その理由は, 人間がもともと 空虚とともに創造された存在 だからである. 空虚は欠如ではなく, 神の言葉が再び響くのを待つ場である. 人間の不安, 孤独, 虚しさは単なる感情ではなく, 源に立ち返ろうとする被造物の根源的なあがきである.

空虚に耐える者だけが光を知る

空虚を避ける者は速度や感情でそれを覆う. しかし最終的に光に出会う道は, 空虚に耐えることにある. 沈黙の中にとどまり, 言葉が止んだ場所で倒れずに立ち続ける者だけが知るのだ. 光は知識ではなく, 存在の充満であることを.
