한 인간존재의 양심이 산 입구에 놓인 돌처럼 내 마음에 걸린다.돌은 단순한 무생물이 아니다. 그것은 길을 막기도 하고, 길을 안내하기도 한다. 양심이란 바로 그런 돌이다. 때로는 무거운 짐처럼 우리 마음을 압박하지만, 동시에 존재가 어디로 향해야 하는지를 알려주는 이정표다.

인간은 견뎌야 하고, 사람들은 떠나며, 사랑하던 이는 돌아서기도 한다. 부부라는 언어는 여전히 남아 있지만, 각자의 길은 달라 보인다. 그러나 그 뿌리를 파고들면 결국 하나다. 그것은 책임이라는 무게, 심장을 짓누르는 도덕적 압박이다. 양심의 돌은 무심코 밟히는 자갈이 아니라, 삶의 길목에 버티고 서서 인간에게 존재의 무게를 환기시키는 징표다.

족쇄와 불꽃,책임과 사랑의 전환

하지만 책임은 그 자체로 구원의 길이 되지 못한다. 내가 윤리에 깨어나지 못한다면, 책임은 단순한 족쇄가 되어 나를 묶어 놓는다. 새장을 아무리 화려하게 꾸민다 한들, 그 안에 갇힌 새는 하늘을 날 수 없다. 마찬가지로 윤리 없는 책임은 단순한 제도와 관습일 뿐, 인간의 존재를 날게 하지 못한다.

사랑을 모르는 사람은 상대를 바꾼다 한들 빛을 얻지 못한다. 관계를 교체하고, 언어를 다시 꾸민다 해도, 그 속에 사랑이 없다면 존재의 빛은 태어나지 않는다. 존재윤리학은 말한다. “책임은 사랑으로 변모할 때만 구속이 아니라 자유가 된다.” 윤리 없는 책임은 쇠사슬이지만, 사랑으로 깨어난 책임은 불꽃이 된다. 그 불꽃이 바로 인간을 존재답게 하는 빛이다.

The conscience of a human being weighs on my heart like a stone placed at the entrance to a mountain. A stone is not a mere inanimate object. It can block the way, but it can also guide the way. Conscience is just such a stone. At times, it presses down on our hearts like a heavy burden, but at the same time, it is a signpost that shows us where we should go.

Humans must endure, people leave, and those we love turn away. The language of marriage remains, but each person's path seems different. Yet, when we dig deep into their roots, they are ultimately one. It is the weight of responsibility, the moral pressure that crushes the heart. The stone of conscience is not a pebble carelessly stepped on, but a sign that stands firm at the crossroads of life, reminding humans of the weight of existence.

Shackles and flames, responsibility and love

However, responsibility alone cannot be a path to salvation. If I do not awaken to ethics, responsibility becomes a mere shackle that binds me. No matter how beautifully a birdcage is decorated, the bird trapped inside cannot fly. Similarly, responsibility without ethics is nothing more than a system and custom; it cannot set human existence free.

Those who do not know love cannot find light by changing their partners. Even if they change relationships and redefine language, without love, the light of existence cannot be born. Existential ethics declares, “Responsibility becomes freedom only when it transforms into love.” Responsibility without ethics is a chain, but responsibility awakened by love becomes a flame. That flame is the light that makes humans exist.

Confessions of a Day, Tears and Gratitude

In the end, all paths lead back to the door of my heart. My conscience becomes love, my love becomes the flame that embraces existence, and that flame becomes my true self. The light of that flame is not a mere flash in the moment, but an eternal lamp that reveals me to the world.

Therefore, I confess that my life is a poem written by the ethics of my conscience. When the fiery moments of each day reflect as light within me and flow out into the world, I am grateful. The root of that gratitude is the ethics of my conscience. Gratitude is not the flower of existence, but its root. The deeper that root grows, the more my life becomes an unshakable tree.

Anger, laughter, sadness, and joy all come to me as burdens that are difficult to bear. However, these burdens are not simply the burdens of reality, but the weight of eternity. The pain and joy that accumulate day by day eventually form the river of my life and become the history of my existence.

The Ethics of Choice, a Short Day, the Heartbeat of Eternity

Life is made up of daily choices. I choose again today. Love over hate, hope over disappointment, faith over distrust. These small choices come together to form a day, and a day becomes a seed for eternity.

Humans live a short day, but the love, hope, and faith sown in that day blossom as light in eternity. That is why even a short day is not insignificant. That day is proof of existence and a promise of eternity.

I walk again today, carrying a small flame, hoping to illuminate the world. It is not a grand idea or a great achievement. It is simply the path of living each day according to my conscience. However, that path is the path that sows light in the world and sows eternity.

This is the path of Soyo Existential Ethics. Existence is ethics, ethics is love, and love ultimately proves eternity. A day is short, but those who sow eternity in that short day are the true human beings.
