だが人間はこの呼吸を沈黙に変えてしまった. 自然を対象化し,分析し,利用することばかりを学んだ.人間が作り出した「動かない構造物」や「感情のない文明」それらは自然の倫理を崩壊させる.人間がどれほど破壊的な存在となったかを示すものは, 戦争でも機械の発展でもない. それはもはや風のささやきを聞けなくなった人間の耳である.
