존재 자체가 윤리다.
진리가 ‘찾아지는 개념’이라면 인간은 아무것도 필요하지 않게 된다 만약 진리가 누군가가 설명하고 정의해줄 수 있는 하나의 개념이라면, 인간 존재가 가진 모든 고귀한 구조는 단번에 무너져버린다.
진리가 학문의 범주 안에 들어온다면
양심도 필요 없고,
윤리도 필요 없고,
자유의지도 필요 없고,
심지어 신조차 필요 없어지기 때문이다.
진리가 인간 밖에서 주어지는 완성된 지식이라면 인간은 그 진리에 기대어 살아가는 ‘수동적 존재’로 전락한다. 그러나 인간은 단 한 순간도 수동적 존재로 창조되지 않았다. 인간은 스스로 깨어나야 하고, 스스로 일어서야 하고, 스스로 자신의 고통과 고독을 지나 자기 안의 양심의 윤리를 발견해야 한다. 이 과정이 없다면 인간은 더 이상 인간이 아니다. 그래서 진리는 ‘찾아지는 개념’이 아니라, 살아내는 과정의 이름이다.
진리는 고독이며, 고통이며, 아픔이다 — 인간은 이 과정을 본능적으로 부정한다 진리라는 단어는 아름답게 들리지만 그 본질은 언제나 비통하고 고독하다. 왜냐하면 진리는 인간에게 자신이 마주하고 싶지 않은 모습을 가장 먼저 보여주기 때문이다.
진리는 인간의 추함 앞에서 거짓을 벗기고,
인간의 교만 앞에서 무력함을 드러내고,
인간의 욕망 앞에서 침묵하게 하며,
인간의 회피 앞에서 더 깊은 어둠을 비추기 때문이다.
그래서 인간은 진리를 거부한다.
고독을 거부하고,
고통을 거부하고,
아픔을 거부한다.
그러나 진리는 고독 속에서만 들리고, 고통 속에서만 보이며, 아픔 속에서만 태어난다. 진리는 인간을 무너뜨리기 위한 것이 아니라 인간을 다시 세우기 위한 불꽃이다. 그리고 이 불꽃은 누구도 대신 견뎌줄 수 없다.
그래서 진리는 정의되지 않는다 — 정의되는 순간 진리는 죽는다
정의(定義)는 경계를 세우는 행위다. 경계가 세워지는 순간 그것은 더 이상 무한한 진리가 아니라 인간이 만든 개념이 된다.
진리가 ‘개념’의 단계로 떨어지는 날,
인간은 그 진리에 값을 매기고,
팔고, 숨기고, 소유하려 들 것이다.
역사는 이미 countless times 보여주었다. 인간은 ‘정의된 진리’를 항상 권력·종교·제도·학문·계급의 도구로 사용했다. 그러나 진리는 도구가 아니다. 진리는 인간 안에서 드러나는 생명의 불꽃이다. 정의될 수 없는 이유는 진리가 인간을 넘어서는 존재이기 때문이며, 인간의 언어와 감각이 감당할 수 없을 만큼 신적인 깊이를 가지고 있기 때문이다.
양심의 윤리를 살아내는 자만이 진리를 이해한다
진리는 지식으로 알 수 없고, 언어로 설명되지 않는다.
진리는 고통 속에서 숨이 멎을 듯한 순간에 비로소 자신의 얼굴을 드러낸다. 고독 속에서 세상의 모든 소리가 사라질 때 안 들리던 한 줄기 속삭임이 들린다. 그 속삭임은 언제나 인간에게 묻는다:
“너는 누구인가?”
진리를 안다는 것은 세상을 이해하는 것이 아니라 자기를 되찾는 일이다. 고독을 견딘 자, 고통을 통과한 자, 양심을 버리지 않은 자만이 그 질문 앞에서 무너지지 않는다.
그래서 소요 존재윤리학은 말한다:
“진리는 설명되는 것이 아니라 양심으로 살아내는 것이다.”
양심의 윤리를 실천하는 순간 진리는 밖에서 오는 것이 아니라 안에서 깨어난다.
신이 진리이신 이유 — 진리가 인간 밖이 아니라 인간 ‘안에’ 있기 때문이다
하나님이 진리이시라는 말은 종교적 표현이 아니다. 존재에 대한 가장 깊은 설명이다. 만약 진리가 인간 밖에 놓인 ‘답안’이라면 신은 인간에게서 멀리 있는 존재가 된다. 그러나 신은 멀리 있는 존재가 아니라 인간 존재의 중심에 숨결을 불어넣은 분이다.
신이 진리이신 이유는
진리가 인간 안에서만 드러나기 때문이다.
신은 진리를 인간의 손에 쥐어주지 않으셨다. 그 이유는 분명하다. 인간은 소유하려 할 것이고, 거래하려 할 것이며, 권력으로 활용하려 할 것이기 때문이다.
그러나 진리는 소유하는 순간 더럽혀진다. 숨기는 순간 죽어버린다. 숭배의 대상으로 고착되는 순간 더 이상 살아 있는 진리가 아니다. 그래서 신은 진리를 개념으로 정의되는 영역에 두지 않으시고, 고통을 지나 양심으로 깨어나는 ‘과정’ 속에 숨겨 두셨다. 그 과정은 인간이 자신의 본래 자리로 돌아오도록 이끄는 신의 사랑이며 섭리다.
진리는 도달점이 아니라 방향이다
진리는 목적지가 아니다. 진리를 목적지로 삼는 순간
그 길은 교만과 착각으로 오염된다.
진리는 방향이다. 그 방향을 향해 나아가는 과정, 그 과정 속에서 양심이 깨어나는 삶, 그 삶이 곧 진리다. 인간은 그 방향으로 걸어가는 동안 때로는 울고, 때로는 무너지고, 때로는 다시 일어서며 자신이 누구인지 깨닫게 된다. 그리고 그 깨달음 속에서 비로소 인간은 진리의 불꽃을 본다. 그 불꽃은 파괴가 아니라 존재를 다시 세우는 광명이다.

If truth were merely a concept to be discovered, the necessity of human existence would be negated. Should truth be explained and defined by another as a fixed concept, all noble structures inherent in human existence would collapse simultaneously. If truth were absorbed into academic knowledge, conscience, ethics, free will, and ultimately even the concept of God would become redundant.
If truth were a complete body of knowledge bestowed externally, humanity would be relegated to a passive existence, dependent on that truth. However, human beings were never intended to exist passively. Individuals must awaken independently, endure suffering and solitude, and thereby discover the ethics of conscience within. Without this transformative process, humanity loses its essential character. Thus, truth is not a concept to be found, but the designation of a life authentically lived.
Truth manifests as solitude, suffering, and pain. Human nature instinctively resists this path.
Although the term “truth” may appear beautiful, its essence is inherently tragic and solitary, as it initially reveals the aspects of oneself most wished to be avoided. Truth removes falsehood in the presence of human imperfection, exposes powerlessness in the face of pride, enforces silence before desire, and intensifies darkness amid evasion. Consequently, humanity rejects truth, along with solitude, suffering, and pain. Yet truth is perceived solely in solitude, recognized only through suffering, and emerges exclusively from pain. Truth does not exist to destroy humanity, but to elevate it as a flame of life. This flame cannot be endured vicariously. For this reason, truth remains undefined. The instant truth is defined, it ceases to exist. Definition imposes boundaries, and once boundaries are established, truth is reduced from infinite reality to a human-constructed concept.
When truth is reduced to a mere concept, humanity assigns it value, commodifies it, conceals it, and seeks to possess it. History repeatedly demonstrates this pattern. Defined truth has consistently served as an instrument for power, religion, institutions, academia, and social class. However, truth is not a tool; it is the flame of life revealed within the individual. Truth cannot be defined, as it transcends humanity and possesses a divine depth beyond the capacity of human language and perception.
Only Those Who Live by the Ethics of Conscience Understand Truth
Truth cannot be apprehended through knowledge or articulated through language. It reveals itself only in moments when breath falters amid suffering. When the world's noise recedes in solitude, a previously unheard whisper becomes perceptible. This whisper invariably poses a single question: “Who are you?” To know truth is not to comprehend the world, but to reclaim the self. Only those who endure solitude, persevere through suffering, and uphold conscience can confront that question without faltering. Accordingly, Soyo Existence Ethics asserts:
“Truth is not explained. Truth is lived through conscience.”
When the ethics of conscience are practiced, truth does not emerge externally; instead, it awakens from within.
Why God Is Truth: Because Truth Dwells Not Outside the Human, but Within
The assertion that God is truth is not merely a religious statement; it represents the most profound description of existence. If truth were an external answer situated outside humanity, God would become remote. However, God is not distant, but is the source who instilled life at the core of human existence.
God is truth because truth is revealed only within the human. God did not place truth into human hands. The reason is apparent: Humans would attempt to possess it, trade it, and wield it as a means of power. But the moment truth is possessed, it is defiled. The moment it is hidden, it dies. The moment it is fixed as an object of worship, it ceases to be a living truth. Therefore, God did not place truth in the realm of conceptual definition, but hid it within the process by which the human awakens through suffering into conscience. That process is God’s love and providence, guiding the human back to one’s original place.
Truth Is Not a Destination, but a Direction
Truth is not a destination. When truth is treated as a destination, the path becomes corrupted by pride and illusion. Truth is a direction. A life oriented toward this direction, in which conscience awakens through the journey, embodies truth. Along this path, individuals experience sorrow, failure, and renewal, ultimately discovering their true identity. In this discovery, the flame of truth is revealed—a light that restores rather than destroys being.

存在そのものが倫理である。
もし真理が「見つけられる概念」にすぎないなら、
人間は何一つ必要とされなくなる.もし真理が,誰かによって説明され定義され得る一つの固定された概念であるなら,人間存在が本来持つあらゆる高貴な構造は一瞬にして崩れ去るだろう。
真理が学問の範疇に回収されるなら、
良心も不要となり、
倫理も不要となり、
自由意志も不要となり、
ついには神さえ不要となる。
もし真理が人間の外から与えられる
完成された知識であるなら,人間はその真理に寄りかかって生きる. 「受動的存在」へと堕してしまう.しかし人間は, ただの一瞬たりとも 受動的存在として創造されたことはない.人間は自ら目覚め, 自ら立ち上がり,自らの苦痛と孤独を通過して, 自分の内にある良心の倫理を発見しなければならない.この過程を欠いたなら, 人間はもはや人間ではない. ゆえに真理とは「見つけられる概念」ではなく,生き抜かれる過程の名なのである。
真理は孤独であり、
真理は苦痛であり、
真理は痛みである。
そして人間は本能的にこの過程を拒む。

定義された瞬間,真理は死ぬ。

真理を知るとは,世界を理解することではない.自分自身を取り戻すことである.
孤独に耐え、
苦痛を通過し、
良心を捨てなかった者だけが、
その問いの前で崩れ落ちずに立つことができる.
ゆえに,ソヨ存在倫理学はこう語る.
「真理は説明されるものではない.真理は, 良心によって生き抜かれるものである.」
