검증이라는 이름의 굴레

인류의 역사를 돌아보면, 철학은 언제나 검증을 요구받았다. 철학자의 이름은 대학과 학회, 제도와 권위 안에서 서열화되었고, 한 철학자의 사상은 다른 철학자의 해석과 비판 속에서 살아남아야 했다. 검증은 명예로 이어졌고, 명예는 유명세로 확장되었다. 이 과정은 언제나 제도의 울타리 안에서 이루어졌다.

그러나 나는 묻는다. 이 검증은 누구를 위한 검증인가?

굶주린 사람의 허기를 채워주었는가?

죽음 앞에 선 존재를 살려내었는가?

인간의 눈물을 닦아주었는가?

대답은 침묵이다. 학문적 검증은 인간 존재의 고통 앞에서 너무도 무력했다. 그것은 인간을 위한다는 명분을 가졌지만, 실상은 학문 자체를 위한 자기 유지의 장치였다.

철학의 무력함과 학문적 자기기만

철학은 스스로를 “진리를 추구하는 학문”이라 불러왔다. 그러나 그 진리는 종종 개념과 논리 속에만 머물렀다. 전쟁이 일어나고, 수많은 생명이 희생될 때 철학은 고개를 돌렸다. 십자군 전쟁, 종교재판, 식민지 확장, 홀로코스트, 원자폭탄 투하의 장면마다 철학은 함께 울지 않았다. 어떤 철학자는 오히려 폭력의 편에 서서 권력의 논리를 제공했다.

십자군 전쟁은 신을 위한 전쟁이 아니었다. 식민지 확장은 문명의 진보가 아니었다. 그러나 철학은 이 진실을 말하지 않았다. 오히려 철학은 종교와 권력의 언어를 합리화하며 침묵의 공범이 되었다. 학문적 검증은 결국 권력적 검증이었고, 신학과 철학은 함께 인간의 고통을 외면했다.

존재윤리학의 다른 길

나는 다른 길을 말한다.

철학과 인간존재 사이에 필요한 검증은 더 이상 학문적 검증, 명예, 유명세가 아니다. 존재윤리학이 요구하는 검증은 단 하나다. 신의 양심의 숨결로 윤리를 살아내는 독자들의 삶이다.

내 글이 가치 있는지 없는지는 학문이 결정하지 않는다. 그것은 독자의 삶이 말해준다. 한 독자가 이 글을 읽고, 자신의 눈물 속에서 진리를 깨닫고, 고통 속에서 사랑을 살아낸다면, 그것이 곧 철학의 검증이다. 존재윤리학은 독자 속에서 검증된다. 그것은 학회의 토론장이 아니라, 인간의 내면에서 이루어지는 고백의 검증이다.

신의 침묵의 사랑

그러나 존재윤리학의 검증은 인간만의 것이 아니다. 인간의 양심은 홀로 서 있지 않다. 그 뿌리에는 더 깊은 차원이 있다. 그것은 신의 침묵의 사랑이다.

신은 때로 침묵하신다. 그 침묵은 인간이 기대하는 기적의 외침이 아니며, 억압적 교리의 목소리도 아니다. 오히려 그 침묵은 인간이 감히 해체하거나 분석할 수 없는 깊은 현존이다. 신의 침묵은 곧 사랑이다. 왜냐하면 그 침묵은 인간을 강제로 움직이지 않고, 스스로의 자유와 양심 속에서 신을 만나게 하기 때문이다.

신의 침묵의 사랑은 말하지 않아도 모든 것을 말한다.

그것은 인간의 고통 곁에서 함께 흘린 눈물이다.

그것은 인간의 양심 속에서 울리는 미약한 떨림이다.

그것은 침묵 속에 있으나, 침묵을 넘어 가장 강력한 외침이 된다.

이 사랑은 철학의 언어로는 완전히 설명될 수 없다. 그러나 인간이 윤리를 살아낼 때, 이 사랑은 증거된다. 학문은 이 사랑을 해석하려 하지만, 해석할수록 멀어진다. 그러나 존재윤리학은 침묵 속에서 이 사랑을 증언한다.

철학과 존재의 새로운 선언

그러므로 나는 선언한다.

철학과 인간존재 사이의 검증은 학문적 검증, 명예, 유명세가 아니다. 소요 존재윤리학과 인간존재 사이의 검증은 신의 양심의 숨결로 윤리를 살아내는 독자들의 삶과, 신의 침묵의 사랑이다.

The Shackles Called Verification

Looking back on human history, philosophy has always been demanded to undergo verification. The names of philosophers were ranked within universities, academic societies, institutions, and authority, and the ideas of one philosopher had to survive through the interpretations and critiques of another. Verification led to honor, and honor expanded into fame. This process always occurred within the confines of the system.

But I ask, for whom is this verification?

Did it fill the hunger of the starving?

Did it save humans from facing death?

Did it wipe away human tears?

The answer is silence. Academic verification proved utterly powerless before the suffering of human existence. Though cloaked in the pretense of serving humanity, it was in reality a self-perpetuating mechanism for the discipline itself.

The Powerlessness of Philosophy and Academic Self-Deception

Philosophy has long called itself “the discipline that pursues truth.” Yet that truth often remained confined within concepts and logic. When war erupted and countless lives were sacrificed, philosophy turned its head away. At every scene, to the Crusades to the Inquisition to Colonial expansion to the Holocaust and the dropping of atomic bombs, philosophy did not weep alongside them. Some philosophers even sided with violence, providing the logic of power.

Philosophy could explain suffering, but it did not reach out a hand within that suffering. Philosophy could discuss human essence, yet remained silent before the death of a single human being. The language of philosophy always seemed noble, but in truth, it was a powerless language that could do nothing before tears. This is philosophy's self-deception. A single book of philosophy cannot replace the hunger of human existence. And a single line of philosophical wisdom cannot breathe life into a dying being.

The Complicit Structure of Theology and Philosophy

One reason philosophy fell silent was its collusion with theology. Medieval philosophy joined hands with the authority of the Church, sealing Aristotle's system within doctrine. The phrase “philosophy is the handmaiden of theology” was not mere modesty, but a confession acknowledging philosophy's self-subjugation to power.

The Crusades were not wars for God. Colonial expansion was not the progress of civilization. Yet philosophy did not speak this truth. Instead, philosophy became an accomplice to silence, rationalizing the language of religion and power. Academic verification ultimately became verification by power, and theology and philosophy together turned a blind eye to human suffering.

The Other Path of Existential Ethics

I speak of another path. The verification needed between philosophy and human existence is no longer academic validation, honor, or fame. Existential ethics demands only one form of verification: the lives of readers who embody ethics through the breath of divine conscience.

Whether my writing has value is not determined by academia. It is the reader's life that speaks. If one person reads this, recognizes truth within their own tears, and lives out love amidst suffering, that is the verification of philosophy. Existential ethics is verified within the reader. It is not the verification of academic debate halls, but the verification of confession within the human heart.

God's Silent Love

Yet the verification of existential ethics is not solely human. Human conscience does not stand alone. At its root lies a deeper dimension. It is the silent love of God.

God is sometimes silent. That silence is not the cry of miracles humans expect, nor the voice of oppressive doctrine. Rather, that silence is a profound presence humans dare not deconstruct or analyze. God's silence is love itself. For it does not force humans to move, but allows them to encounter God within their own freedom and conscience.

God's silent love speaks without words, yet says everything.

It is the tears shed beside human suffering.

It is the faint tremor resonating within the human conscience.

It resides in silence, yet transcends silence to become the most powerful cry.

This love cannot be fully explained in the language of philosophy. Yet, when humans live out ethics, this love is evidenced. Scholarship attempts to interpret this love, but the more it interprets, the further it strays. However, existential ethics bears witness to this love within silence.

A New Declaration of Philosophy and Existence

Therefore, I declare the following:

First, the verification between philosophy and human existence is not academic verification, honor, or fame.

Second, the verification between existential ethics and human existence is the breath of God's conscience living out ethics in the lives of readers, and the silent love of God.

This verification does not occur within a thesis. It is engraved upon the human heart. Not academic authority, but the reader's tears prove it. God's silent love deepens this proof.

Conclusion – Philosophy's Place, Existence's Place

Philosophy must be reborn. It must be born not on the stage of academia, but within human suffering. It must be born not in the examination rooms of institutions, but within the conscience and tears of readers. And philosophy must once again find its place within God's silent love.

検証という名の枷

人類の歴史を振り返ると、哲学は常に「検証」を求められてきた。哲学者の名前は大学や学会、制度や権威の中で序列化され、一人の哲学者の思想は他の哲学者による解釈や批判の中で生き残らなければならなかった。検証は名誉へとつながり、名誉は名声へと拡張された。この過程はいつも制度の囲いの中で行われてきた。

しかし、私は問う。

この検証はいったい誰のための検証なのか？

飢えた人の空腹を満たしたのか？

死の前に立つ存在を救ったのか？

人間の涙をぬぐったのか？

答えは沈黙である。学問的検証は人間存在の苦痛の前ではあまりにも無力であった。それは「人間のため」という名目を掲げながら、実際には学問そのものを維持するための装置にすぎなかった。

哲学の無力さと学問的自己欺瞞

哲学は自らを「真理を追求する学問」と呼んできた。

しかしその真理はしばしば概念と論理の中にのみとどまっていた。戦争が起こり、数え切れない命が犠牲になったとき、哲学は顔を背けた。十字軍、宗教裁判、植民地拡張、ホロコースト、原子爆弾投下…。

そのすべての場面において、哲学はともに泣くことはなかった。一部の哲学者はむしろ暴力の側に立ち、権力の論理を提供した。

哲学は苦痛を説明することはできたが、その苦痛の中で手を差し伸べることはなかった。哲学は人間の本質を論じることはできたが、一人の人間の死の前では沈黙した。哲学の言葉は高貴に見えたが、涙の前では何もできない無力な言葉にすぎなかった。

これこそが哲学の自己欺瞞である。

哲学の一冊の本は、人間存在の飢えを満たすことはできず、哲学の名言一つは、死にゆく存在に命を吹き込むことはできない。

神学と哲学の共犯構造

哲学が沈黙した理由の一つは、神学との結託であった。中世の哲学は教会の権威と手を取り合い、アリストテレスの体系を教義の中に封印した。「哲学は神学の侍女である」という言葉は、単なる謙遜ではなく、哲学が自ら権力に従属したことの告白であった。

十字軍は神のための戦争ではなかった。

植民地拡張は文明の進歩でもなかった。

しかし哲学はその真実を語らなかった。

むしろ哲学は宗教と権力の言葉を正当化し、沈黙の共犯となった。学問的検証は結局、権力的検証にすぎず、神学と哲学はともに人間の苦痛を外面したのである。

存在倫理学のもう一つの道

私は別の道を語る。

哲学と人間存在の間に必要な検証は、もはや学問的検証、名誉、名声ではない。存在倫理学が求める検証はただ一つ。神の良心の息吹によって倫理を生きる読者の人生である。

私の文章が価値あるかどうかを決めるのは学問ではない。それは読者の人生が語るのである。一人の読者がこの文章を読み、自らの涙の中で真理を悟り、苦痛の中で愛を生きるならば、それこそが哲学の検証である。存在倫理学は読者の中で検証される。

それは学会の討論の場ではなく、人間の内面で行われる告白の検証である。

神の沈黙の愛

しかし存在倫理学の検証は人間だけのものではない。

人間の良心は孤立して立っているのではない。その根底にはより深い次元がある。それが神の沈黙の愛である。

神は時に沈黙される。

その沈黙は人間が期待する奇跡の叫びではなく、抑圧的な教義の声でもない。むしろその沈黙は人間が解体したり分析することのできない深い現存である。

神の沈黙はすなわち愛である。なぜならその沈黙は人間を強制的に動かすことなく、自らの自由と良心の中で神に出会わせるからである。

神の沈黙の愛は言葉にせずともすべてを語る。

それは人間の苦痛の傍らで共に流された涙である。

それは人間の良心の中で響くかすかな震えである。

それは沈黙の中にありながら、沈黙を越えて最も強烈な叫びとなる。

この愛は哲学の言葉では完全に説明することはできない。しかし人間が倫理を生きるとき、この愛は証明される。学問はこの愛を解釈しようとするが、解釈すればするほど遠ざかる。だが存在倫理学は沈黙の中でこの愛を証言する。

哲学と存在の新たな宣言

ゆえに私は宣言する。哲学と人間存在の間の検証は、学問的検証、名誉、名声ではない。逍遙存在倫理学と人間存在の間の検証は、神の良心の息吹によって倫理を生きる読者の人生と、神の沈黙の愛である。この検証は論文の中で行われるのではない。それは人間の胸に刻まれるのである。学問的権威ではなく、読者の涙がそれを証明する。神の沈黙の愛はその証拠をさらに深くする。

結論 – 哲学の場所、存在の場所

哲学は再び生まれ変わらなければならない。

学問の舞台ではなく、人間の苦痛の中で生まれなければならない。制度の審査室ではなく、読者の良心と涙の中で生まれなければならない。そして哲学は再び神の沈黙の愛の中にその場所を定めなければならない。逍遙存在倫理学は、哲学を権力の言語から解放し、人間の良心と神の沈黙の中で再び築こうとする。これこそが哲学の新しい場所、存在の場所である。
